What are Breast Veins?
Many patients are uncomfortable or self-conscious about veins showing on their breast and chest. The appearance of breast veins are most common during or after puberty, pregnancy, breast surgery, or weight loss. Usually breast veins disappear with time, but in cases where they don’t, cosmetic surgery is the solution.
What is the treatment for Breast Veins?
Dr. Youssef offers several solutions to eliminate unsightly breast veins, such as Sclerotherapy for the bluish-colored veins and Intense pulsed light (IPL) for the red chest veins. Sclerotherapy involves a foam injection to the problem area, where the foam floats to the top of the vein, eroding the blood vessel, allowing blood to flow freely though. IPL is the emission of a broad spectrum of light transmitted through a hand piece to the fat tissue, eventually being absorbed by the blood. The body naturally removes the injured tissue, making the skin look healthier and younger.
What is the recovery process?
These treatments are minimally invasive, so there is no recovery time needed.
