During this relaxing and energizing one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, what your biopsy is for, and your medical history. If your provider determines that a skin biopsy in Los Angeles is the best solution for your concerns and goals, your session can be scheduled.

When patients come in for skin biopsies, the Younique provider first thoroughly cleanses and disinfects the treatment area. This can require the removal of makeup during the cleansing. Your provider will choose the most appropriate skin biopsy technique and then apply a local anesthetic to the target area, either as a topical cream or via injection. When the anesthetic has taken effect, your provider will remove the necessary amount of tissue for the lab to process. Depending on the biopsy technique, one or two simple stitches may be required to finish the treatment.

Your biopsy sample will be sent to a qualified medical lab for testing. The laboratory results may take a few days up or to 2 weeks to come back.
