Procedure
Similar to a full tummy tuck, your Younique provider will administer general anesthesia for a pain-free, comfortable experience. An incision will be made along the lower abdomen, below the bikini line. The excess skin and fat will then be removed to help smooth and flatten your belly. The incision will be closed with sutures, and a compression garment will be applied to aid in healing.
Recovery
After any kind of tummy tuck, you’ll generally need to plan for 2 to 4 weeks off work. The belly may be swollen or bruised, but pain or discomfort typically subsides within a week. Any kind of abdominal strain must be avoided, including heavy exercise, sex, lifting, and housework for 4 to 6 weeks after the surgery. However, you’re encouraged to walk as often as possible, as this helps with circulation and can enhance healing.

Most Younique patients are able to get back to work after about 2 to 3 weeks. Full recovery takes about 6 to 8 weeks. You won’t be able to stand up straight immediately after the procedure because your waist will be bent. This keeps your sutures in the the proper position for healing, so you should plan accordingly. It should only be a couple days before you’ll be able to stand up straight again. Medication will most likely be prescribed for pain or discomfort in the first 2 to 4 weeks.
