Procedure
First, your Younique provider will remove any makeup and gently but thoroughly cleanse the treatment area. Depending on your sensitivities, a topical numbing agent may be administered to the treatment area. Next, they’ll use a marker to delineate the injection sites that will best achieve your aesthetic goals. Finally, your Restylane dermal fillers will be injected. Most contain lidocaine for further alleviation of possible discomfort.
Recovery
The aftercare for Restylane injectable products are the same for most other dermal fillers. We apply a soothing arnica gel immediately after the procedure, or you can choose to take arnica tablets for swelling and bruising. A gentle application of cold packs can also help with the swelling. Swelling usually dissipates within 48 to 72 hours. Any other side effects also usually dissipate within this time. Since Restylane results are non-permanent, there are no long-term side effects. Similar to other nonsurgical procedures, Restylane is quick and relatively painless.
